This project develops architectural form through a sequence of analytical and compositional operations that move from orthographic projection and motion analysis to three-dimensional spatial organization. Beginning with video of a simple arm gesture, I extracted measurable trajectories and forces, then translated them into profiles, envelopes, and sectional figures. Through controlled transformations, thickening, carving, folding, and offsetting, the project tests how geometry can simultaneously register circulation, enclosure, and structural logic.

Motion studies
From gesture to geometry
Frames from video that analyze motion

Motion studies translate bodily gesture into curves, envelopes, and sectional profiles, establishing a geometric grammar that drives subsequent formal transformations.

In plan and section, these operations produce a continuous interior path and a thickened envelope that alternately frames views, absorbs structure, and negotiates ground contact. The resulting pavilion functions less as an isolated figure and more as a mediator between interior spatial experience, street condition, and environmental light.
