Exploring the concept of “translation” in architectural representation, this project transforms a functional 3D chair asset into a compact “relief package.” Guided by the logistical parameters of nesting, fitness, and undercutting, the design deconstructs the chair’s profiles and reorganizes them into a novel assemblage. The result is an object that straddles the line between utility and uselessness, retaining legible traces of its original function while adhering to the rigorous constraints of storage and shipping efficiency.
